happenings

Saturday we headed out to Alex's kids r kids for their 'egg stravaganza'. While Id like to say a good time was had by all, it really wasn't. It was freezing. When I say freezing I might be exaggerating, but the forecast said sunny and 68, what we experienced was in the 50's with arctic winds. Luckily we had jackets in the car. ...and then there was the break down. They did the hunts by age, and when it was the pre-k-ers turn, Alex was ready to go, as you can see here. There are no more pictures of his part of the egg hunt due to the complete meltdown that ensued as the director of his school yelled "GO!!!", this mad my child fall to pieces, completely overwhelmed. He wanted nothing to do with putting those eggs in his basket. He soon recovered once all the eggs had been snatched up, then went on to tell me he 'doesn't care that much about candy anyways, its bad for your teeth'. His class made a pot, and he was super stoked to show it off to sissy and myself. His hand print was on the front, apparently this was a huge deal.

Mad scored big time in her egg hunt, I'm amazed at how 'grownup' she is. The Easter bunny came by to say hi and she just stood there and looked at it...I think were getting to that point.
and this guy made sure to stay far far away from sissy's hunt, he enjoyed the bounce house to himself.
These are our BFFs...aka they might as well be brothers and sisters with the amount of time we all spend together.
...and last week while alot of our friends endured strong winds we just got alot....A LOT of rain. So much rain that Mad decided God wanted us to have a pool in our backyard, so he gave us one...Ive since had to explain why its gone away just 3 days later, but it was fun to look at (for the kids) I'm glad to have my puddle free yard back for them to play in.
They're growing up too fast. 5 weeks until summer.
